SEPARATION OF PROMISING SITES TO FILL INDUSTRIAL WASTES IN AL-RUTBA

Abstract

This study aimed to specific evaluation for environmental isolation factors for the area of Rutba –Gandali-Traifawi-Abu Mintar in order to separate the promising sites for fill the industrial wastes in Al-Badia Al-Shemalia in Iraq. The recent study depended on the analyses of the Geological, Geomorphological, Hydrological, weather granted data, the explanation of the landsat imgea and aerial photographs in addition to using the geological maps on scale 1:250 000, 1:100 000, 1:25 000 and field reconnaissance. Two promising sites have been separated for fill the industrial wastes with specifications that,s fulfill satisfy primerly to the wanted conditions for fill purposes, and these sites are known as following: Abu- Mintar sit, it falls in the northeast of Abu-Mintar area signed with sign(I-w/ws). Gendali sites , it falls in the middle part of Gendali area signed with sign(I-p/SE). Abu- Mintar sit is considered as a first choice and Gandali site is considered as a second choice, and that,s due to both of them fortified naturally, and Gandali site on the way of the northeast winds direction following on Rutba town.This gives it a negative point. This study recommended to do detailed study for the promising sites depending on field & lab .
