الملخص | Thermal conductivity is a refractory property which is usually taken into account for calculating the heat loss through the lining and the kiln shell.
When a kiln is heated , thermal energy flows into the refractory lining , causing a temperature difference to develop between inside and outside faces of bricks . part of this thermal energy is stored in the refractory lining and part flows through the wall , and is lost to the outside air by radiation and convection .
The amount of heat which escapes in this manner is of considerable importance in the economy of the clinker fabrication process.
In estimating the quantities of heat flowing through the lining , use is made of the thermal conductivity of each material involved in the construction of the refractory lining . | |
