Abstract

Geological data base " GEO DAT – 1" has been prepared for subsurface information available from the Southern and Western Desert . This data base is regarded as the first regonal data base with awide coverage range of informations . FoxPro 2.6 \ windows has Been utilized to prepare and program this data base . Data from a total of 169 wells has been used . Base records have totaled to 567 representing data related to the penetrated geological formation in these wells. Each record consists of (24) fields which representing local well data (Coordinates , Zones , localities ) and formations data (depth , thickness , age mineralization showings , erosinal showings , chemical analyses … etc ) in addition reference number of data reports Are also contained . The data base was constructed in screens forms to simplify its Services to the users . This data base can be choosed only required Records and fields in very short time , as a lot of time and effort can be Saved . Records can be utilized by other softwares to produce maps , 3-D figures or for the purpose of statistical analysis . Appendices of data well numbers , formations geological times Used in the base have been also prepared .
