HYDROGEO.&HYDROCHEM.STUDY OF HADITHA QUADRANGLE.

Abstract

This report discuss the hydrogeological and hydrochemical Evaluation of the aquifers in Haditha Quadrangle sheet ( NI-38-5) scale 1:250 000 . The work is a compilation on what has been written on the aquifers encountered during drilling taking into consideration the previous Hydrogeological field work performed on area under study . Testing result and chemical analysis re- evaluated and doubtful result were discarded Hydrogeological investigation have indicated the existence of five principle aquifers in the area that are Quaternary , Injana , Fatha , Euphrates , Umm Er Radhuma .

The water in aquifers of Euphrates and Umm Er Radhuma is almost Confined to fractures , joints that characterize the carbonate deposits of these formations.

Hydraulic coefficients of aquifers was vary considerably due to Heterogeneous characters of these rocks .
