SOLUBILITY OF CALCIUM SULFATE IN DIFFERENT CONCENTRATIONS OF SULFURICE ACID
الملخص
This study was carried out to test the solubility of calcium sulfate (hydrate and anhydrite) in sulfuric acid solution at various concentrations (20, 50 and 80) wt.%, the effect of temperatures at (20,60, and 80) ºC, solid/liquid ratio was investigated at variant ratios (1:2,1:3, and1:4) and different residence time (30,45, and 60) minute.
In the presence of sulfuric acid, the solubility of gypsum system is influenced by temperature more obviously than in the CaSO4 + H2O system which increasing monotonously with temperature. The solubility of anhydrite was generally lower than dihydrate (gypsum) in sulfuric acid solutions.
