| الملخص | Residual radiometric anomaly map of Iraqwas deduced from the analysis of total count airborne geophysicalradiometric data of C.G.G. 1974, using trendsurface analysis method.
This map shows numerous residual radiometric anomalies that distributed in all parts of the surveyed area, numerousanomalieswere found to be related with the primary uranium exists within the phosphatic rocks, which are widely exposed in the Western and Southern Desert.
Important anomalies were found to be relatedto the exposures of the Euphrates Formation along the Euphrates River basin and mostly at the southern and western sides of the basin and with the Euphrates Fault Zone (where anomalies coincide with mineral springs that associated with H2S and occasionally with bitumen).
Other anomalies are related with depression sediments,Sabkha deposits, valley fill deposits,Bitumous seeps, dry lake saline deposits, Terrace deposits, alluvium deposits and along wadis and fault line. | |
