PREPARATION OF RED PIGMENT FROM IRAQ IRON ORE(CHABED-AL ABED...ETC.).

Abstract

This project study the possibility of manufacturing and processing of iron oxide pigment ( red pigment ) from Iraq iron ore ( Hussainiyat and chabod Al-Abed ) . This pigment requirements for various applications ``for example , suitable as, colorants for toys, wooden building blocks , coloured concretes, iron oxides ( red pigment) extremely good ( U.V) protection of the supporting medium and the substrate . The preferred processes for the manufacture of iron oxide involve precipitation and calcinations to iron oxide from iron sulfate , iron ore treatment with sulfuric acid ( 40% w/v) to Produce iron sulfate which calcained to (750-950) 0C in muffle furnace to produce Fe2O3 ( Red Pigment ) .
