الملخصAccording to the contract between the state company of Northern- Cement and state company of Geological Survey and Mining, an exploration programme for limeston and marl in Block 1. which represent the first stage of project delineated by Al-KaabY and Al-Rubaiei. The excuted work includs drilling 13 boreholes with full core., The drilling programme was designed on a net 100X100meters. A total meterage of the boreholes attain 308 meters in total . 294 rock samples of Limstone and marl was analysis for major components this study explain that. Block 1 contain limestone and marl which belonge to Lower Fars formation most lower part presisly the unit A1-which suitable for cement industry. On conclusion, two layers of limestone was delineated which is suitable to be used in cement industry. The first layer attain 5.72 m in thickness as average. The estimated reserve on category B was 899000 tons , with the following chemical specifications. %14.0 I.R. %43.0 CaO %36.7 L.O.I %1.23 MgO <0.07% SO3 %10.5 SiO2 The second layer attain 10.35m. thickness as average . The estimated reserve on category B was1.311.053. tons. With the following chemical specifications . CaO MgO SO3 43.03% 0.97% <0.07 SiO2 I.R. L.O.I. 10% 11.0% 36.7% The total estimated reserve was 2170000 tons. The over burden layer attain 2.9 meter in thicknees as average and these striping ration is 0.57.
