INITIAL STUDY PRODUCTION OF SYNETHIC MARBLE BY USING DOLOMITE ORE FOR SANITARY WARE
الملخص
This study aimed to prepareof synthetic marble from Iraqi dolomite verged whence physical and mechanical properties for natural marble. This type of marble provides lower cost in product processing and manufacturing. Dolomite artificial marble allows the creation of many shape and form. It is a non-porous and can be colorful.The method completed by adding different weight of bonded materials (polystyrene 86.36% by weight with 13.63%hardener by weight) at proportion from (70)% to(55)% mixed with different weightfrom(30)% to ( 45) % of grinded dolomiteas a fillerpassed through sieve 75 micron, then it mixed and mold in cylindrical mold. Themechanical and physical results show the successful sample (5)that include 55% epoxy risen with 45% milled dolomite, compressive strength for this proportion about 607.52 kg m / cm2, with specific gravity approximately 1.91 and Bulk density 1.93gm/cm3.This type of marble suitable for sanitary ware and material of building.
