| الملخص | Refining the researcher’s analytical and problem-solving skills as a prelude to a life of further study and independent research is one of the main objectives of Iraq Geological Survey (GEOSURV).The process of producing a reports/project reports is intended to help the researcher(s) achieve that goal. The GEOSURV procedure of report format must go through in getting reports/project reports approved simulates, in many respects, the “real world” process of submitting a scientific research for publication. For example, scientific work outside the GEOSURV is subject to intensive scrutiny by peers in the author's discipline. Similarly, the report or project report is reviewed for content and rigor of methodology and relevance to the field by the senior scientists and advisers. Before being accepted for publication in academic journals, manuscripts are not only reviewed for a validity of content by other scholars who serve on editorial review boards, but they are also examined for conformance to specific format style guidelines.This procedure illustrates requirements to formatting, producing and submitting reports and project reports that areprepared at the GEOSURV. Approval process of the correct requirements will be much easier if the author(s)/researcher(s) reads the procedure carefully and incorporates the requirements standards throughout the writing stage. Carefully follow all of the requirements for line spacing, margins, pagination, insertion of tables and figures, etc. listed in the Formatting Standards se wers along with the head and professional staff of the Quality Management Division will ctions of this procedure.
At the GEOSURV, scientific revie review every draft of report/project report for conformance to the GEOSURV level of scientific achievement and guidelines. In either preparation, failure to meet the appropriate standards in the specialties will result in rejection of the work approval, until it is corrected the deviation from the procedure. Also, Quality Management Division personnel should have access to field/laboratory areas for sampling/testing and investigation as appropriate.So, the independence of Quality Management Division from the technical divisions is considered fundamental to the satisfactory operation of Quality Control | |
