الملخص | These are pilot scale experiments where soft-quick and hydrated limes used as feeds. Experiments carried out on (40 Kg) batches of hydrated lime and it include slaking of lime with water in a (15%) solid over (15 min). Calcium carbonate was precipitated by injecting (CO2) gas for (6 h) of carbonation and a (15%) solid at flow rate of (37.5 L/hr)/Kg. At the optimum conditions the produced (PCC) has good specifications with high purity powder (98 %) , brightness (98) and with particle size (10 µm). It is suggested to establish the plant near the Lime plant/Southern Cement State Company near Karbala city where the raw material sources in lime plant. The economic feasibility study indicates the project is economic achieving a yearly profit about (713,482,149.400) ID alongside the other economical and industrial benefits that the project supplied. | ar |
